Lots of storm chasing coming up for me at the end of the week and next weekend so going to be exercising hard over the next few days. I should probably shave before heading out to chase.

I played a role in confirming the 5 tornadoes in NW Iowa. Between my photos and video I shared with the NWS office they were able to confirm all five that I saw.

As we get closer to sunset, that’s not the look you want if you’re hoping for lights tonight.

I see what 2024 is turning into. It’s the year where good geomagnetic storms happen during the day in the United States and troughs ejecting of the desert southwest are moisture starved.

Do I dare hope these numbers hold until dark. The way my luck is the answer to that is no. So I guess my Aurora drought will continue.

I would’ve been up last night if I’d been notified. Guess it’s time to set the alerts for KP4 because 5 is not good enough.

So apparently I missed the northern light show last night. Guess I need to find a new hobby. Lol.

What an awesome storm chase yesterday. Took a gamble on a secondary target in north central Iowa along the warm front in the cold core region and it paid off big time. A nice isolated cell dropping pretty noodles. #iawx
