Mercedes workers didn’t win their union today.

But they won the 1st victory for justice when they decided to organize.

They won a raise for everyone at the plant by calling the vote.

And they’re not done winning.

Today is the day Mercedes workers in Alabama win their union! 💪

“They fear Blacks & poor whites uniting together & forming a voting bloc that can fundamentally reshape the economic architecture,” Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II said about politicians fighting unions.

On Monday, I spoke alongside workers who are employed at the Hyundai USA plant in Montgomery, Alabama. They are seeking to organize their workplace with the UAW.

I don’t know Rev Wilson, & I don’t know why he’s backing the union busters. But I do know this:

God is on the side of workers crying for justice.

I’m in AL standing with workers because I work for God.

I'm at a church tonight listening to Hyundai workers preach about being David, up against the Goliath of Hyundai and Alabama state leaders who don't want them to have the power to get a pension, to get health insurance, to have safe & consistent working conditions.
