If the information is useless or false, then that should be obvious without any issue in turning it over to Congress. Not turning it over fuels speculation of cover ups and damning information about the particular politician.

The DOJ/FBI, etc must be beyond reproach. When it looked as if Hillary would be indicted the left had a fit, but Comey came to the rescue exonerating her from a crime most soldiers would have been punished. The right reveled at the thought her potential indictment.
