This week we pay attention to the carnival in Münster, a celebration of conviviality and solidarity. For the city of Münster and its people, carnival has been a long tradition, dating back to 1600 and perhaps even further.

Yesterday the traditional New Year's reception of the city and council of Münster took place. COM 1GNC and the Garrison Commander were also invited to this event. The event started with the PM signing the Golden Book of Münster and drinking from the Golden Rooster.

The Norwegian Ambassador to germany together with the defence attaché brought a visit to 1GNC. During a 2 day program they had a meeting with the commander of 1GNC and a gathering with the Norwegian colleagues that are working at 1GNC.

Thursday evening the Commander of 1GNC, Lieutenant General Tak, hosted his New Year reception at the LWL museum in Münster. It provides guidance and an outlook on the upcoming year and provides the opportunity for deeper integration at the very beginning of 2024.
