Today some our soldiers visited Fort Dunree at the mouth of Lough Swilly in Inishowen. This is a former Artillery post and houses the Rockhill collection in its museum. Following this educational morning, we conducted a navigation exercise over Mamore Gap. #lovedonegal #bemore
Yesterday our Recruitment Team attended the ‘Emergency Services Showcase’ in Fort Dunree, Co.Donegal. We were joined by Garda Info, Irish Coast Guard, Donegal Mtn Rescue, Rescue 117, Irish Red Cross and the RSA. Congrats to Desertegney Foróige for a great event #donegal

#Induction is not the only training taking place in 28 Infantry Battalion. We recently conducted a Basic Recce Course. This took place at locations all over Sligo and Donegal, and culminated in badge week in GOC DFTC. Well done to the students and instructors.
Irish Defence Forces Recruitment Officer is ongoing with large cohorts being attested for service this week in Cathal Brugha Barracks, before traveling to 28 Infantry Battalion Battalion in Finner camp, and at the Joint Induction Training Centre at Gormanston Camp.
