Our recent deployment on Ex BLACK EAGLE gave REME plenty of work to do. The saturated ground saw vehicles repeatedly bogged in and assistance from REME was required to recover them. All good practice on the build up to #STDE24 .

Today saw Lt Col Andy Gartside leave 4RLC as CO having completed his hand over.

Over his 2.5yrs as CO he has had a huge impact on the Regt and its people and we are immensely grateful for everything he has done.

We wish him all the best for the future and his next challenge.

Further preparation for #STDE24 continues with Sqns deployed out to Salisbury Plain to test and adjust before the Ex begins. Here we have 4 Close Support Squadron RLC lined up ready to go and Comms Tp trying new methods of camouflage.

Since January soldiers from 4 Regiment RLC, with their padre @garnellPaul, have been lending a helping hand to Roves Farm #WonkyVegClub .

The project has taken them from seed to harvest learning new skills about growing, tending to and harvesting vegetables.

And that's EndEx on Ex IRON CYCLONE. A testing exercise that saw the RHQ and 60 Sqn deploy for 14 days testing the Sqn and trying some new concepts. Well done everyone for your hard work, now for a well deserved break!
