1 - We love and protect and support all artists, including average artists, struggling artists, and newbie artists.

2 - Corporations that cut creative teams from 100 down to 10 while implementing AI generation to pick up the slack?

Those teams were made of the 'best'.

Busted. I immediately called him out on his BS and he continued to deflect and ignore. 1 in 20 images in the Firefly training data set were created in Midjourney.

Investors were given the choice to invest or not. They were given the choice to participate or not. Engineers were given the choice to develop the software or not. Engineers were paid. Investors expect reward.

Artists were not given any choices or payment or reward.

GenAI apologists and the representatives of the grift itself are soooo manipulative that is not even amusing to see them struggle anymore, just a bunch of untreated psychopaths.

Also, I'm sure disable folks LOVE to be use as meat shields to excuse the inexcusable yet again.

I love the band and album.

But I couldn't listen to it for years because my brain had connected it to the scene in Peter Jackson's Bad Taste where they are drinking alien vomit out of a punch bowl and it made me feel sick.

I was relieved when that passed. 😅

In context of the AI “art” discussion… if your game needs dozens/hundreds of unique illustrations…

1) does it?
2) get creative on how you use fewer illustrations
3) talk to artists about options
4) does it???

Artists not only bring their talent/skills/insights to the game. They often bring an audience, a community, fans.

Jess Miers 🦝 AcheronTychus Jess with all due respect the way you argue and spread information shows your clear bias. The fact that you're even using AI images to underline your obvious anti artist points makes it just way too obvious.

Uh yeah. I know. My point is - what I was recommending are ACTUAL REAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. It's basic P&L and unit cost calcs. It's not about feelings. It's about sound publishing basics that fiscally successful publishers already undertake.
