At the 36th Annual Meeting of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) ACUNS (in which I serves as a Member of the Board of Directors) in Washington DC this week, 400 scholars, diplomats &other practitioners of international relations from around the world

The Global South Perspectives on Global Governance Reform network of academics and think tanks primarily from the Global South and representing Southern viewpoints held its first public event at ACUNS Annual Meeting.

It was a pleasure to present my dissertation work at the annual meeting of the Academic Council of the United Nations ACUNS this year. It was my first time participating and I've learned so much.

Building peace requires time and a long-term commitment to address the root causes of conflict and bring positive change. Let us not falter in our efforts. Glad to have shared my research on #DDR programs at the ACUNS annual gathering in Washington DC. À l’année prochaine!

I presented my PhD in progress with great input! Through data, I map how actors use Peacekeeping deployment for strategic benefit, and how they attempt to influence deployment locations. This, I theorise, is strongly linked to targeting of civilians, natural resources, & Wagner.

Great discussions and perspectives on conflict prevention concepts, practice, challenges and impact ACUNS. Happy to have participated to this year's annual meeting and thanks to ACUNS President Lise Howard for the excellent organisation.
