The 1921 sale catalogue of Castletown Cox, Co. Kilkenny gives incredible detail of the contents and interiors of the house. It was designed by Davis Ducart for Rev. Michael Cox, Archbishop of Cashel in 1767. Ducart completed the seven bay building in the Palladian style c. 1771.
