ARCE is proud to have conducted trainings and workshops with curators and museum experts in Egypt as well as abroad. In fact, many of our research supporting members are museums, such as the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum, and the Ashmolean Museum, among others!
Today we celebrate International Council of Museums (ICOM) International Museum Day! Whether to educate, inspire, or safely home antiquities, museums play a vital role in raising awareness on history and archaeology. This year’s theme is “Museums for Education and Research”.

ARCE mourns the loss of a great Egyptologist, Professor Barry Kemp. An extraordinary archaeologist, scholar and thinker, Dr. Kemp was a professor Emeritus of Egyptology at Cambridge University and founder of the Amarna Project. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Very excited and privileged to be able to contribute to the American Research Center in Egypt's 2024 Virtual Annual Meeting. I'll be speaking next Saturday 18th May at 3-3:30pm EST (8-8:30pm BST), giving a presentation titled 'Towards an Archaeology of Disability in Egyptology'.
Last night was the Reception and Exhibit “The Stories We Keep.' Guests explored the exhibit, spoke with the conservators, and mingled throughout the museum.
Thank you to Carnegie Museum of Natural History for hosting ARCE.
