Wishing Chair Maritza Chan a successful week ahead of this week’s Preparatory Committee for the Plan of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons.

Member States will use the PrepCom to set the agenda for the 4th RevCon in June 2024 and beyond.

At the 2024 United Nations Parliamentary Hearing, organized by United Nations_PGA & IPUparliament, United Nations_Disarmament’s Izumi Nakamitsu spoke about the intrinsic role of disarmament to both prevent and end conflict and violence, as well as an accelerate sustainable development.
