It was a great opportunity to engage current students and explore potential career opportunities that focus on economic development and prosperity for agricultural cooperatives in Rwanda.

The farmers were able to learn how they can adopt minimum tillage to maximize yields, optimize their business operations, reduce production costs, and minimize environmental damage which is usually caused by conventional farming practices.

Yesterday,Agriterra Rwanda together with its partners, Ministry of Agriculture & Animal Resources |Rwanda, Africa Improved Foods and Sight and Life organized knowledge sharing event about Enhancing Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) that focus on minimum tillage with KABOKU Cooperative in Nyagatare District.

Through the training, young people increased their agribusiness skills, explored horticulture opportunities, identified markets and quality requirements, learned about cost-effective production, addressed challenges, and learned good agricultural practices.

The aim of the visit was to increase the knowledge and skills of young farmers in the agriculture value chain, from primary producers (farmers) to the final consumers.
