This week I introduced a motion to build affordable housing on underused properties owned by provincial or municipal govts.

We can't afford for govt owned land to sit vacant while waitlists for affordable housing reach 10+ years.

We'll keep fighting to solve our housing crisis.

For once the Premier said something I can agree with - oil and gas companies are gouging us.

But instead of developing a credible climate action plan to get us off fossil fuels, Doug Ford just rails against the carbon tax.

The carbon tax isn't the problem, oil and gas greed is.

Ford is dropping the ball on housing. We're picking it up.

Today I put forward a motion to legalize building 6-11 storey buildings as of right around transit hubs and main streets.

It's time to get serious about the housing crisis.
