Co-editing this Special Issue was such a privilege. Thanks Australian Journal of Human Rights for giving me the chance to curate the amazing work of terrific scholars. The issue examines the tensions and potentials of human rights practice. I loved this article by Alison Holland (she/her)

Resharing this cause Dan Tehan said we need to get ‘back’ to bipartisanship in Indigenous affairs. His govt walked away from it with advent of ATSIC.

John Paul Janke said on that if ATSIC presided over Robodebt it would be abolished again. Good point but it would never have gotten passed the stringent accountability measures of ATSIC in the first place nor their vision of social justice.

The expulsion of 750,000 Palestinians from their homes in 1948, some subject to massacres by 3 different Israeli militias, is an undeniable fact confirmed by Israeli historians. It is called the Nakba. I honour its memory and recommit to recognition of a state of Palestine.
