Brambling - Ken Croft found a singing Brambling near The Range this morning. Managed to see & hear it early afternoon. Examining some photos later showed that it was an escaped cage bird - ringed in Belgium. Despite now knowing its origin, it was great to hear it singing.

Snow Goose - at Twr reservoir and fields off the approach road to South Stack this pm. Whilst on the reservoir it could be heard calling. On the British List as AC2E* - who decides whether C2 or E*? - its destiny is most likely E*. Great find by Lauren Evans and DS

Garden Warbler - usually involves a little effort to find on Anglesey. Two birds at Newborough Forest today, with Common Swift at Cors Ddyga and a single Puffin at South Stack to bolster the year list.

An osprey spotted over Llyn Coron, Anglesey, by our extremely observant and lovely neighbour, Jenny Bond, who popped by to tip us off about the sighting. Photographed at extreme range as it fled the scene of the crime, having poached a nice trout for breakfast! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Always a joy to visit Cemlyn and experience the tern-fest North Wales Wildlife Trust Anglesey Bird News. This time I'd hoped to see the reported Curlew Sandpiper but instead left with this ....
