A quick visit to Porth y Mor this morning. Not too much around- a few guillemot plus 3 black a gannet, several oystercatcher and turnstone. The highlight was seeing 70 sandwich terns on the rocks with at least the same number fishing in Dulas Bay. I love Anglesey Anglesey Bird News
Grey-headed Wagtail - the bird found this morning on Tyn Llan fields, Cemlyn by John Dyda did the decent thing and stayed into this evening. Also present male Blue-headed Wagtails and presumed 2 females. Anglesey Bird News
An enjoyable bird race walk around Cemlyn with Levi Gravett . Joined by the legend Stephen Culley - cracking male Grey-headed Wagtail, a superb male Blue-headed Wagtail and a female type Blue-headed. Also Little Owl, Arctic + Common Tern, Turnstone + Redshank. 100 is nearly up π

An osprey spotted over Llyn Coron, Anglesey, by our extremely observant and lovely neighbour, Jenny Bond, who popped by to tip us off about the sighting. Photographed at extreme range as it fled the scene of the crime, having poached a nice trout for breakfast! ππ
Grey day but plenty of wildlife at Llyn Llywenan.
Highlights:
Several warbler species inc my first sedge & reed warblers of 2024.
Marsh harrier & red kite.
