I wish we lived in a world where we could fund clean streets without having to prove they had health consequences, but I'm continually in awe of Eugenia (Gina) South, MD MS for having taken what must have seemed like a truly out there idea and provided rigorous evidence that changed policy.
The No Surprises Act was supposed to eliminate surprise bills & ↓ health care costs, on the assumption that prices emerging from arbitration would resemble prior in-network rates.
Yet in new analysis w/ Matt Fiedler, we find that arbitration decisions are coming in much higher
