After almost six years of war, Nazi Germany officially surrendered on 7 May 1945.

The following day, Winston Churchill announced on the radio that the war in Europe had ended.

Today, on #VEDay , we remember those who fought and died on the continent to protect our freedom.

Exactly one year ago members of the Armed Forces led the nation in celebration of King Charles III's Coronation!

The fleet of nine Apache, four Wildcat, and three Chinook helicopters departed Wattisham Flying Station together, spearheading the deployment of helicopters for NATO's Exercise Steadfast Defender.

Today’s #AnzacDay commemorations continued with a service at the Cenotaph.

HRH The Duke of Kent's final day as Colonel of the Scots Guards' Regiment, after a remarkable 50 years of devoted service, was served watching the Scots Guards' annual Black Sunday parade.

The role will be passed on to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. 🇬🇧

The most recent group to graduate from Sandhurst Military Academy, made up of 135 new officers, includes 26 international cadets from 19 countries.

Amongst them is the first female cadet from Nigeria, Officer Cadet Owowoh Princess Oluchukwu. 🇬🇧 🇳🇬

Standing with Giants will install 1,475 silhouettes across the British Normandy Memorial grounds, a project four years in the making, titled 'For Your Tomorrow'.

The public will be able to see the installation as part of the D-Day 80 commemorations from 21st April - 31st August.

In just 50 days’ time the whole nation will come together to remember the sacrifices made on D-Day and thank the veterans of the Normandy Landings.

Two Ukrainian minehunter ships, now named Cherkasy and Chernihiv, recently transferred from the Royal Navy to Ukraine’s navy.

This year, The Red Arrows celebrate their 60th anniversary.

They were seen this week soaring over Lincoln Cathedral and their home of RAF Waddington in completion of the winter training season.

The Royal Air Force airdropped life-saving food supplies into Gaza for the first time last month, as part of international efforts to provide life-saving assistance to civilians.

An A400M aircraft delivered over 10 tonnes of water, rice, and baby formula directly to civilians.
