We have the opportunity to decide our future. Will we choose chaos or community? Despite the darkness, I'm hopeful that this generation will choose building the Beloved Community and a world where love prevails.

A better future is always possible, even in the face of the uncertainty. Hope is important in envisioning a better tomorrow for the Beloved community.

Struggle is a natural part of the nonviolence process. It takes courage to look past these setbacks and dare to see the world as it could be, rather than getting caught up in how the world is at the moment.

We are on the side of what's right. We have the the winds of our ancestors behind us and the good wind of all of those that have gone and fought for us to do our part in continuing this work.

Gun violence has touched my family more than once. Martin Luther King III's father and grandmother died by gun violence. We choose nonviolence because it's the only methodology that leaves a community whole after conflict. Dr. King knew that nonviolence is love in action.

We were honored last night to welcome champions for global human and civil rights Martin Luther King III and Arndrea Waters King to Nationals Park!

Today, reflect on the power of 'yet.' Though it may seem like hatred prevails, we simply haven't triumphed YET. We have more rivers to cross and more marches ahead.

Before you end this week, decide who you want to be. Within us, two wolves reside. One embodies darkness, fear, and anger. The other represents light, hope, and compassion. The one that thrives is the one we feed. Choose wisely.

I’m always encouraged when I speak with the younger generations about their determination to create a better future for themselves and others around them. Their dedication to fighting for the rights for all in the Beloved community, challenges me to keep the faith.

In the Beloved Community, unity is not just a goal, but a way of life. We are on a mission to build each other up and realize the dream of MLK and Coretta Scott King.
