Yesterday I introduced AB 2690. This legislation will warn parents and guardians that fentanyl and other opioids is often obtained on social media platforms.

AB 2690 builds on a current law that I authored last year, and will be given annual to parents of school-aged children.

Today I introduced AB 2205 which directs the PUC to reduce electricity prices by 30%. Electric prices in California are unaffordable. People should not have to decide between putting food on the table and paying their utility bills.

Today I introduced legislation to name a portion of Interstate 80 (from Douglas to the 65 interchange) after Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee who was tragically killed in Afghanistan while serving our nation.

Affordability must be on top of the legislature’s list of priorities heading into this new year. It’s time the tribalism was put away for the benefit of the people we are duty bound to serve in Sacramento. No more excuses, ideological talking points, or theater.

Today I penned an op/ed. A big reason gas and electric bills are so expensive is because of added regulatory and legislative mandates. This harms every family in my district.
