Lucy Gaynor highlights that while there are other Hague proceedings where starvation is being looked at in relation to genocide, “you now have potentially these warrants coming from the ICC, charging Israeli officials with the crime of starvation, but explicitly as a war crime'

Alonso Gurmendi also sent in some thoughts on states’ reactions: “I guess the bigger surprise at this point is Germany, which has come out, not in defence of the request, but certainly not strongly against it.”

Gissou Nia | گیسو نیا comments: 
“ if Netanyahu and his defence minister are hampered and restricted in their movements, I think that pretty soon there's going to be even a, you know, an increase in sentiment in Israel that Netanyahu has to go.”
