In 2021, the BC NDP started charging $10 for Freedom of Information Requests. The fee was supposed to speed up response times, but the release of public records is slower than ever.

The BC NDP is failing to address real drug harms.

This crisis is deeply rooted in housing & affordability issues — rolling back #decrim won't fix that.

We will always vigilantly defend a woman's right to choose. We’ve seen in the US how these rights can be taken away after so long. We’re supporting people to make their own reproductive decisions, including by making prescription contraceptives free, and one round of IVF.

I’m grateful David Eby answered my call to all of BC’s party leaders, to clearly state their stance on reproductive rights. Kevin Falcon responded to a question from Katie DeRosa but hasn’t yet released a statement, and we’re still waiting for a response from John Rustad.

When political infighting gets in the way, we miss good ideas.

We need governments capable of removing ego & advancing good ideas, regardless of their origin.

My moms and their generation fought for our rights and I am now standing to ensure women’s health and reproductive rights are secured and improved. As a survivor, the idea that women could be denied access to abortions and other gender-specific health services makes me angry.
