#Music is the #OnlineArtExchange theme in honour of our Birmingham neighbours Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery’s exhibition Victorian Radicals.
We couldn’t resist sharing our own radical Victorian, Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Here the sitter delicately plucks at a koto – a Japanese stringed instrument.
FANTASTIC NEWS: The The Barber Institute is set to reopen its galleries in June.
The galleries have been closed since last autumn while the first phase of a £10million building improvement project is carried out.

As #OnlineArtExchange celebrates #WomensHistoryMonth , it felt important to share Käthe Kollwitz’s ‘Self-Portrait in Profile’.
Here Kollwitz portrays herself as aged and worn challenging traditional depictions of women’s youthfulness.
A colourful, diverse programme of music was presented in today's Lunchtime Concert - congratulations Siwan Rhys for such a brilliant performance and to Ben Nobuto & Laurence Crane for their incredible new music which was premiered today!!
