There is no universal ban, but there is a degree of restriction on new builds such as amounts to a ban for such as woodland croft homes that would use their wood (and more traditionally, hand cut peat) as a primary fuel.

I can agree that the Green MSPs have had an impact quite disproportionate to their numbers (and by extension their popular support). Whether that has been a positive impact is a quite separate question.

If you're an expert on a topic that has become controversial (paediatrics, discrimination law, biology etc) you face a choice between doing your job in the face of extreme hostility or allowing a spread of misinformation/the collapse of your field for the sake of a peaceful life

I would also encourage people to contact their MSPs, and ask them to take an evidence based, risk-mitigating approach.
