“I was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. This is a complete separation of the upper lip which extends up and into the nose. Here is a picture of me with and without my goatee, my goatee covers up most of my scar.”

Little Poppy the day she was born, to now, two and a half years old!😍

Emily, Poppy’s mum told us, “Poppy was born with a cleft palate due to a condition called Pierre Robbins Sequence. Only 50 babies a year are born with this condition, so to us, she is extra special!”

He spoke to CLAPA about his inspiration to take part in the run after his son was born in 2023 with a cleft lip.

Danielle turned her workplace and her son’s primary school blue during Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week, raising over £1,500 for CLAPA.

She told us, “We have personally benefited from CLAPA's knowledge, support, and expertise from the moment we received our diagnosis.'
