Fantastic that the Science and Innovation at Cancer Research UK funded STAR TREC organ preservation rectal cancer trial has completed recruitment of >500 patients! A real privilege to co-lead with Simon P Bach and work with amazing colleagues across Europe. A big thank you to the patients who participated.

1st patient has been recruited to LIBERATE randomised, double-blind Phase 2b #clinicaltrial of #glenzocimab for #HeartAttack in partnership with Acticor Biotech. LIBERATE will enrol >200 patients diagnosed with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) University Hospitals Birmingham & Sheffield Hospitals
we also published the results from Wisteria, a phase I #clinicaltrial combining AZD1775+cisplatin in head & neck cancer. Wisteria used a novel design, mTITE-CRM, that could be used in trials with complex patient populations
