Recently, we listened to feedback and extended our support to evenings and Saturdays in the hospital - to make sure we are there when we are needed. 🌟

Our Family Support Workers work on Wards 31, 32, and 33, and the Oncology & Haematology Day Unit. They provide practical support to all Candlelighters families, from helping to access Candlelighters services, making a much-needed cuppa, or being a friendly face to talk to.💚

We've been continuing our Music on the Wards with some guitar lessons from Family Support Worker, Ryan! 🎸
Ryan has been teaching some of the children in the hospital to play to bring some fun to the wards. We're excited to see what other musical endeavours are to come! 💚

Candlelighters Dad's Groups are run so parents going through similar experiences can come together and help each other and have a fun time - such as battling it out to see who the golfing champion is!⭐

Staff visited The Square throughout the day to collect their gifts - looking after staff wellbeing is incredibly important when working in roles that involve caring for others.

7th April was World Health Day, and our wonderful charity partners, Clarion, organised some treats to show their appreciation for NHS staff at Leeds Children's Hospital! 💚

Thanks to Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate who hosted a quiz night for Candlelighters in February this year and raised an incredible £1400! 🌟

The event had a turnout of over 70 people attending their first evening fundraiser with lots of prizes being won!
