We use it for the sound, but the Chandler Limited EMI microphone also glows in the dark, which I did not expect.

The glow somehow suits the dreamlike nature of this music.

You can record in the dark if you want.

Chandler doesn’t really advertise this feature, but they should.

In what turned out to be her last recording session, Amy Winehouse used the Neumann U47 to record ‘Body and Soul’ with the late great Tony Bennett on 11 March 2011.

The U47 remains the choice for vocals of all styles.
