After experiencing some unusual muscle pain in my leg during yesterdays stage, the decision was made to call it a day on Romandie. With my main focus this year being the Giro it's best to not push it any further and head home for a few extra days recovery.

Back home and amongst civilisation again after almost 5 weeks on the road with Lombardia, altitude camp and Tirreno Adriatico where we ended up with the teams GC + Wilco 4th overall.A nice little reward for the week and a good sign that the hard works been paying off for the Giro

Every year the same silly downhill sprint in the Tour de Pologne.
Every year i ask myself why the organisation thinks it‘s a good idea. Bunch sprints are dangerous enough, you don’t need a downhill finish with 80kph!

Doing a 10 min test. Or finding out I misread the program and was only supposed to 10 second test. 🤦‍♂️ #fail

Say what you want about it, but:
I've not trained in bad weather since Paris-Nice.
Every time I stop for a coffee its excellent.
Can't remember the last time I had a puncture.
Saved 5, maybe 10 euro in sunscreen.
Never ran out of food or water.
Travel to races has been a breeze.
