I didn’t intentionally begin my 2-day #bikepack around Cayuga Lake on #WorldBicycleDay , but it’s a nice coincidence! Here’s to the #bicycle (that marvel of #sustainable transport), the beauty of the Finger Lakes, & Tina Christmann, who first showed me how much fun cycling can be!
PhD viva done ☑️

Huge shout out to Imma Oliveras Menor and Yadvinder Malhi for the ongoing support.
Congrats to Trisha Gopalakrishna and Tina Christmann for passing their DPhil (PhD) vivas yesterday, on forest restoration in India and Peru respectively. Extra special thanks to Marion Pfeifer for being examiner on both (7 hours in the same day!) …
So chuffed to submit my PhD thesis today titled ‘Revisiting the science and practice of ecosystem restoration in tropical mountains’ and to be supervised by such supportive and passionate researchers Imma Oliveras Menor and Yadvinder Malhi!
