Absolutely fantastic news for the Borough.

Welcome news that the Household Support Fund has been extended for 6 months, & this govt is finally listening to us & other boroughs struggling to support our residents.

But after 14 yrs of Tory govt people in Haringey feel worse off and know it's time for a change 🌹

We're on track to build 3000 affordable, high quality, eco-friendly Council homes by 2031. Thanks to Tom Copley for coming to see some of them.

This has been made possible by vital funding provided by our Labour Mayor of London.

That's what Labour in power does.

Last night we presented a balanced budget to Cabinet. This was not easy to do and we had to take some tough decisions and use reserves.

Like many councils we are struggling and need a fairer settlement to help us meet our escalating social care and temporary accommodation costs.

Last year we called on the Chancellor to guarantee the Household Support Fund for next year.

Without this vital support, thousands of struggling families will suffer & children will go hungry.

Today is his chance to do the right thing for residents in Haringey.

We are proud that we have presented a fair & balanced budget that supports the most vulnerable & protects our vital services.

The Liberal Democrats proposed no plan, no vision & completely ignored the reality of the issues we face as a Council.
