What about differences within generations?

NatCen analysis shows Gen Z attitudes vary when looking at economic situations and where they live.

Ann comments that intra-cohort differences can occur in intergenerational help, inheritance wealth, and support in the home.

Where would you start in supporting Gen Z in renting or home ownership?
There is a need to focus on long-term policies such as supply of houses, including social housing and to reform our tax system to improve efficiency in the housing market.

Ann Berrington discusses new insights from the UK Generations and Gender Survey.

Gen Z is more supportive than older generations toward intergenerational support. Males are more positive than females; gender differences in attitude do not necessarily translate into practice.
