📢 Illegal vapes, illegally stored fireworks, 52,820 illicit cigarettes & 15kg of tobacco were seized from 3 East End shops yesterday.

Our Trading Standards team carried out the operation with SCOTSS consumer protection dogs uk, Police Scotland, HM Revenue & Customs.

A fantastic day again today. Now ,wee Rosie won't tell you how she found all these as they were hidden in a clever concealment. But we don't know how long it took them to build it and hide the cigarettes, but it took Rosie 30 seconds to find it 😊

Our Trading Standards officers seized more than 20,000 cigarettes and 188 vapes as part of a crackdown on the illegal tobacco trade this week.

Favourite days of the year at a national operation. Great to see all the tech they have at their disposal. But the trust in the dogs is always there . Rosie keen to get started. My face at the end was me winding a mate up 😊

Drumchapel Community Police, with partners from Glasgow City Council SCOTSS and consumer protection dogs uk, performed a joint operation to target multiple premises concerned in selling counterfeit and illicit goods. Large quantities of cigarettes, tobacco and illegal vapes were seized.

It's been two fantastic days for the dogs and another big day tomorrow. Boo today had a find ,now what she uncovered could lead to big finds on a national level. Fingers crossed. Always chuffed when days like today come along ,makes you realise what a big part you can play !

Big Boo as always worked hard this week. This fluffy rug is her happy place. Sometimes ( tonight) she has to tell dad to move the coffee table out her way so she can stretch out !! 🤣

It's a been a fantastic week for the dogs .Two ops ,finds on both days .Wee Rosie ,our Spaniel today made a cracking find . One of those type of finds that tell you she has arrived as a search dog!! . So proud of her today . Tonight after her dinner she can't keep her eyes open.

We welcome new rules that come into force today allowing Trading Standards to refer sellers of illicit tobacco to HM Revenue & Customs
From now on, sellers of illicit tobacco could receive a penalty of up to £10,000.

Oops she did it again!! . Some shop owners can be funny ,even when they have big stockrooms they put products up in the ceiling or under the floor. Not to worry though ,Boo always finds it for them ,then her TSOs pals put in bags and take it away 🤣. Boo loves this game !
