This spring, the Treetop Ten at Chimp Haven have been spending more time outside enjoying the nice, sunny weather. Photos highlight Tequila and his groupmate December who love the attention from their caregivers.

Pets Uniting People Society (PUPS) has 6 moms with litters plus 11 kittens needing homes soon. Please spay or neuter your cat. Thanks to help from DDAF funds are available for neuters and spays for these mothers and some of their kittens.

Alma Rescue's sweet little Toby was just adopted by a wonderful couple and has a new brother, Ollie!  We rescued Toby from a hoarder house in the summer. See before and after pictures. Sincere thanks to DDAF's grant we received to help w/food for the 45+ dogs we took in.

What a beautiful sight. 126 bales of high quality coastal hay. Thanks to DDAF, Wings And Reins is able to provide hay for all of the equines in our care. We couldn’t do this without their help.

Connie was rescued by Greater New Haven Cat Project from the Fair Haven section of New Haven. She was and remains a timid girl, but with some extra TLC, warms up to people when they come to visit.  She is making progress while waiting for her furever family!

A 5-month old Dutch Shepherd mix came to Nebraska Humane Society as an injured stray. Veterinarians were able to save Flo’s life, but not her leg. Flo has been recovering with loving care from an NHS foster parent. DDAF's grant helped with her care. Now she has a second chance at life.

A big THANK YOU to the Carmel Chamber of Commerce, the Cypress Inn, and everyone who came to help us celebrate Doris’ birthday and support DDAF’s book-signing.  We enjoyed spending time with all of our guests, including the canine crew.

Whether from curiosity or cruelty this poor feral ended up with a thick tube of cardboard around his neck—the remains of a roll of construction tape. Funding to Paws Patrol from the DDAF helped pay for “Rollo’s” urgent veterinary care.

We recently admitted a baby beaver at Hoo Haven who was found alone in someone's yard where no fresh water is near. She had large bite marks all over her so think she was taken by an animal and escaped. She received antibiotics and being cared for at Center.

Matisse is Greater New Haven Cat Project's office supervisor.  She is a special girl - needs a urinary diet - and loves to dress up and post for photos!  She is living comfortably at our GNHCP Center, waiting for her purrfect home!
