Omar confirmed Cam Sutton meeting on Morning Show today, didn’t make a Steelers reunion sound imminent: “I think it was a couple weeks ago. It was more than just the situation here. We just wanted to see how he was doing. We spent six years with Cam, a good six years. We’ll see.”

Billy, Payton Wilson is the consensus best linebacker in the draft. He could be a future all pro and he runs a 4.4 40.

His only defect is that he doesn’t have an ACL.

On this date in 1942, Steve Blass was born in Canaan, CT.  A member of the Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame, he made his big league debut with the Bucs in 1964 and won 103 games in his career. He is still the last N.L. pitcher to throw a complete game in Game Seven of a World Series (‘71).

Thanks to everyone who showed up to McFadden’s for The Great Sports Debate. We seemingly solved all of Pittsburgh’s sports problems. If you missed it you’ll just have to wait and see how things play out (except for the Penguins, of course, who we found out last night are toast).

To paraphrase the great Rodney Dangerfield, the Great Sports Debate is … great! It’s even better these days thanks to the guy on the left. Stop by McFadden’s, 6:30 tonight. I’ll be there with Tim Benz, Mark Madden and Gene Steratore (“Gene, Gene the Moderating Machine”).
