Lots of solitary bees are now flying inc. common spp. Andrena haemorrhoa (orange-tailed), A. fulva (tawny), A. cineraria (ashy) & Anthophora plumipes (hairy-footed flower bee). The last sp. is probably more abundant in gardens - at least in Derbys. But maybe recording bias?

A rich diversity of autumn insects benefits from abundant ivy flowers. Red admirals are frequent, also comma, small white & no doubt some moths too. Hoverflies & houseflies, 100s of common wasp, Ichneumon, Ectemnius spp. & Field digger wasps, Ivy & buffish mining bees.
