The U.S. Supreme Court issued an important Copyright decision that if there is a timely claim for infringement, there is no limitation on the number of years of damages claimed.

But it didn't rule on whether a copyright owner possesses a timely claim.

Why are Florida HS athletes still not permitted to sign deals?

2 years ago, a Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) survey indicated a majority of schools were against NIL at the HS level.

School Athletic Directors were concerned that competitors would use NIL…

You’d be surprised (or not) how many people are currently acting as agents, particularly in the space, without being properly licensed state-by-state.

There can be consequences 👇

Should college athletes be classified as employees? What if they don't have to be to receive important protections?

Jason Stahl of the CFBPA is on Capitol Hill this week to discuss the possibility of collective bargaining without full employee classification.

It will…

It’s amazing how pretty much every state can see eye-to-eye on yet Congress can’t find consensus to even properly discuss a bill that would lead to uniformity.

Would prefer UF to not be associated with the Ivy League. I'd rather go to Florida than Columbia, Penn, Yale, or Harvard.

Why is a settlement needed for revenue sharing? (It isn’t).

How can the plaintiffs in the House case preclude athletes from suing the NCAA on antitrust grounds in the future? (They can’t).

Why is there a belief that revenue sharing will eradicate collectives? (It won’t).

There’s always a motive behind leaking confidential settlement communications to the press. The challenge is figuring out who is doing the talking and why.

Honored to be assisting JC Latham with his TM app.

As Josh Gerben states in his thread, I'm seeing many athletes seek protection of names, nicknames, and logos while they are still in school. has empowered athletes to think about growing businesses/brands at an earlier age!

Note: The Athletes Organization has 2,495 college athlete members, 1,348 of whom are football, men's basketball, and women's basketball players from power conferences.

Collective bargaining will be hard without an organization representing players' interests and AO wants to serve that role.

Representing a lot of NFL Draft picks is good for show.

Rep players on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th contracts, and that’s how you make the dough.

Signing good players is tough. Keeping them is tougher.
