First full day in Seoul for @columbusstate & Dept. of History, Geography, & Philosophy @ CSU! Visits to Gyeonbokgung Palace, KDI School of Public Policy and Management & Development Institute to learn aboutpost-war Korean economic history, & Korea Institute for Defense Analysis to discuss the evolving US/ROK alliance! Day 4 of our Columbus State University & Dept. of History, Geography, & Philosophy @ CSU course, 'US & Korea Since 1950.' Today, we visit Kia America in West Point for a discussion of their economic impact in Georgia & to tour the facility, then stop for Korean lunch on the way home.
Day 3 of Columbus State University Dept. of History, Geography, & Philosophy @ CSU travel course 'The U.S. and South Korea Since 1950'! Today: 주애틀랜타총영사관 Korean Consulate in Atlanta & meet with Consul General Suh, Korean Cultural Center for culture & language lesson, & H-Mart for shopping! Old Home day at US National Archives today -- ran into a former colleague from Franklin & Marshall in the reading room and one of my W&J College grads who went on to study with MJ R-P is working here, getting my boxes ready for research. So great to see them doing so well!
Fun day yesterday at US Army Maneuver Center of Excellence with Patrick Donahoe and others, shooting some vintage WWI and WWII era firearms. I definitely woke up with a bruised right shoulder.
