India’s presented a proposal for inclusion of Jeypore Hill Gecko on the Appendix II of the CITES in the ongoing CITES CoP-19 at Panama. The proposal received overwhelming support and the CoP recommended for inclusion of this species on Appendix II of CITES with consensus.
