Interesting reflections by Jon Armstrong regarding ‘difference’ versus ‘de facto’ models of cohabitation reform (I had similar concerns). Also research by Anne Barlow et al and Bill Atkin has shown de facto reform hasn’t had a negative impact on the marriage rate in Aus/NZ

Clare Lavery Andy Hayward Resolution has campaigned for years for reform to protect cohabitants. Law Commission proposed reform 2007 (but not equal rights to marriage).
