Seit 3 Tagen steht ein Camp am Universität Wien Campus, bei dem non-stop zur „Intifada“ aufgerufen wird. Heute haben wir ein wichtiges Zeichen gegen jeden Antisemitismus gesetzt. Die Polizei hat uns abgedrängt und teilw. angezeigt. Jüdische Studierende haben es gerade nicht leicht.

Today we commemorate the 81st anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a courageous act of resistance by Jewish fighters against Nazi violence and oppression during the Holocaust.

We thank Rector Federica Mogherini for organising this fruitful discussion at the College of Europe. Today more than ever, not only antisemitism and in particular on campuses must be seriously addressed but also the importance of fostering a thriving Jewish life in Europe.
It's unacceptable that the sole Jewish delegation was verbally harassed. Labelling EUJS - European Union of Jewish Students president Emma Hallali - representing 36 national Jewish student member unions - as a ‘fascist Zionist’ is deeply antisemitic. We must ensure that Jewish youth feel safe across Europe.

On Sun. 14 April, antisemitic stories targeting me were shared on Instagram by a LevelUp!2024 participant from a delegation of a member organisation from European Youth Forum. I was deeply hurt by the blatant (1/8)
Appalling that EUJS - European Union of Jewish Students Jewish delegates were singled out and called 'fascist Zionists' at the European European Youth Forum debate on #EUelections2024 . This despicable behavior only hinders bridge-building efforts.
We express our full solidarity with the EUJS delegation!
