Some years ago I came across the art of Hubert Duprat, a French artist that, in the 1980’s experimented with #EntoArt !

He raised #caddisfly larvae in aquariums full of gold, turquoise, opal, etc.,which the caddisfly used to build their cases.

I tried out polymer clay for the first time yesterday and made a male Eastern dobsonfly (Corydalus cornutus). Pleasantly surprised with the end result (see the real thing in the last image). I’ll paint it eventually but next up...some BEES!
