Very sorry that my deputy partner Cllr Luthfur Rahman OBE lost his council seat. Politics can be brutal. He contributed so much for so many, especially the commitment, vision & passion he brought to the culture brief. We will miss him & I’ve no doubt he will be back stronger than ever soon.
Losing Luthfur Rahman OBE from Manchester City Council is a huge loss for Manchester, having found me as a young kid in Uni, an activist, passionate about social change. He mentored, guided, and nurtured that enthusiasm to help/support me to become a Councillor. He opened doors where he could..
