To help students master math skills in a fun and meaningful way, Malala Elementary was awarded $1,480 to fund their Math in a Flash! grant. Students use math-related instructional tools to complete individual or small group math lessons and challenges.

Raven Davidson of Madden Elementary received a $1,268 teacher grant to fund her project, “Using the Power of Light to Engage PreK Learners.' Her students use a light table to make patterns, build letters, sort items by shape, practice handwriting, examine scientific items and more!

With a $1,483 teacher grant, Teresa Reyna has enhanced learning in Aquatic Science. Her James Reese Career and Technical Center students examine freshwater fish tanks daily to check water quality, condition of species, quantity of food and to adjust the environment following the reproduction of species.

To support students’ social-emotional well-being, Dulles Middle School provides a calming space. With funding for the Serenity Now grant, Jesse Moreno & colleagues created for students a safe place, filled with items to help regulate students' emotions so they can concentrate in class.
