This morning a male & female in their 70’s were rescued by FF’s from a house fire in Camberley. No working smoke alarms. Took 5mins 34secs for the 1st appliance to arrive. Surrey Fire & Rescue Service do you stand by your comments that no correlation exists between response times & survivability?
After 10 years of damaging Tory austerity, our fire & rescue service is in dire need of investment. We have 11,237 fewer firefighters & 80 fewer fire stations than in 2010. I’m backing the Fire Brigades Union’s #FundTheFrontLine campaign to secure these services for today & tomorrow.

Surrey have 8 whole-time appliances off the run today, they are: Guildford, Camberley, Woking, Fordbridge, Dorking, Egham, Salfords and Walton.
