Will Michelle Gildernew, Sinn Féin candidate in the same constituency, also contest the Westminster election to defend her seat as an MP for Fermanagh and South Tyrone?

With only 15 days to go to #EUelections2024 , we now learn that a U.K general election is to be held less than a month after our elections. It is important for the people of MNW to hear from Michelle Gildernew as to whether she intends to run as an M.P for Fermanagh South Tyrone?

Yes, I was disappointed not to get the opportunity to participate in the Upfront with Katie Hannon debate this evening. I feel that my The Labour Party values and my 20 years plus of public service experience would have added another perspective on the issues discussed. Vote Fergal Landy on June 7th!

vernaculandy has years of experience & years of knowledge of how front line on the ground support services can completely change the lives of people. If you believe that power should be given back to communities then vernaculandy is the only one to vote for.

I understand the constraints RTÉ News faces in structuring debates that are useful for voters.

However, it is a shame that vernaculandy has (just about) missed out on a place in Monday’s debate. Today’s poll shows voters appreciate his experience & message.

Informed by discussion with SIPTU and The Labour Party Party colleagues, I cautioned against any simplistic notion that workers rights and the need for high quality jobs with proper terms and conditions could be sacrificed in the name of reducing costs
