SEL came from Fetzer Institute. They developed the program and then became the anchor funder for CASEL which launched in 1994. Note that they are not hiding that SEL is designed as a 'spiritual development' tool.

SEL, conceived by @FetzerInstitute & carried out by CASEL, is a Trojan horse designed to evangelize their specific set of religious, spiritual beliefs. It is dogma, no doubt about it. It’s clearly unconstitutional to have this in our public schools & institutions.
