An absolute treat on this morning’s CES ringing session for Flamborough Bird Observatory A Spotted Flycatcher, first one ringed in the spring for a good number of years.
The first scarce migrant I found on Yorkshire's coast, a male Bluethroat Flamborough Bird Observatory 20th May 1984. Despite living here for 15 yrs, that was the last I'd seen locally until today's find. Goose bumps on goose bumps ... amazing how birding memories act as life's anchor points.
