16 May is the FUSILIERS Albuhera Day when we remember the bravery of the Royal Fusiliers battling the French in 1811. The Fusiliers closed with the enemy and history recorded, 'Nothing would stop that astonishing infantry'.

The CO and RSM were in Lulworth today to see Boxer complete its live fire trials and to catch up with the First Fusiliers team at the Gunnery School.

Later this year @FirstFusilier will be the first unit in the Army to convert to Boxer! 🥊💪

A long day. At 0500, at the far bank site of the Amazon Bridge crossing of the Gari River, members of the REA gathered for the last post. 80 years to the minute of the first troops across. The Royal #Fusiliers crossed at 0630. Wreaths were laid at the memorial later.

You will have seen from the media that the Ministry of Defence is aware of a network compromise which potentially puts at risk the personal data of members of the Armed Forces (serving and veterans).

This morning, a team from First Fusiliers were in Germany to brief the PM on the Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicle.

First Fusiliers will be the first unit in the British Army 🇬🇧 to receive Boxer.

What did you do before breakfast this morning?

At dawn on the 25 Apr 1915, The Lancashire Fusiliers landed on W Beach, on the Gallipoli Peninsula, where the Turks opened fire. Despite heavy losses for the Fusiliers, six VC’s were awarded for this action.

Today is the Gallipoli Day where we remember the bravery of the Lancashire Fusiliers at Gallipoli in 1915. The first landings took place at 0600 on 25 April 1915 and the Battalion won “6 VCs before breakfast”.

First Fusiliers celebrates an early St George’s Day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

As the battalion will be on post deployment leave during St George’s Day we made sure to celebrate early. We celebrated by hosting the remainder of the battle group we spent 6 months with in Estonia for various activities.

FIX BAYONETS 🔪 First Fusiliers Bayonet Training in Estonia 🇪🇪

As part of the PNCO Cadre conducted while in Estonia First Fusiliers hone their bayonet drills.

This morning, we handed responsibility for Op CABRIT 🇪🇪 to the 5 Rifles Battlegroup.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past six months. It has been a team effort from everyone in Estonia, those supporting from the UK, and most importantly, our families.

It has become a tradition on Op CABRIT for Battlegroups to mark their deployments with a ‘we were here’ stone. There was only one thing we could have on ours!

Glacial boulders are common across 🇪🇪 and were deposited when the ice shelf retreated ~10,000 years ago.
