Intriguing essay from Brandon Busteed. Employers value the skills students learn via Liberal Arts, especially in combination with other recognized credentials. I'd add: we need broader collaborations among higher ed and employers to inform design of new, high-value credentials.
Valuable insights from Philip Uri Treisman and the Dana Center. We need more nuanced approaches to rigor in mathematics, and for the majority of students 'rigor' shouldn't imply a forced march to College Algebra.
