Matt was known to some of us, a good and brave person and selfless to the end. He served with distinction in both South Yorkshire Police and British Army 🇬🇧. RIP, Matt. Exemplo ducemus.
Tonight, members of Holme Valley MRT visited the Nostell base of Yorkshire Air Ambulance to speak to pilots and medics, and be briefed on how to work around the aircraft. Thanks to Yorkshire Ambulance Mountain Rescue England and Wales Jess, who organised this and thanks to the great YAA team in Wakefield.
It’s great to see Holme Valley MRT water rescue team member Jake on the cover of #Ambulance UK, regarding the work Mountain Rescue England and Wales to treat hypothermia. Our water rescue teams allow Mountain Rescue England and Wales to operate from hill top, to shore line.
Huge thanks to #Birstall Luddites Rotary International group for their recent donation of £250 to Holme Valley MRT.
All Holme Valley MRT wish an #EidMubarak to all our friends, supporters, and followers who conclude the month of #Ramadan this week.
Holme Valley MRT had a fourth call out in four days yesterday, with a request from Yorkshire Ambulance to assist a casualty near #Marsden . Using a specialist wheel attached underneath the stretcher for we carried the casualty ~500m down a rough track to an ambulance waiting at the road.
